As a makeup artist, I am always looking for makeup looks online as inspiration to try something new. Prior to Pinterest, I would just search for photos on Google or would save any photos as I came across them on different blogs and websites. Now with Pinterest, it makes it so much easier to find new looks and save them. Here are a few makeup looks that are inspiring me right now. I am looking forward to trying similar versions of each one! Nail Art

So, I was really inspired today by all of the nail art that I found on Pinterest. I’ll include some examples below from Pinterest (none of the images are mine, but you can find the original sources on my Polish Pinterest board). I’m also including a photo of my first attempt at nail art! Okay, so they were a bit messy…and I’ll probably redo them in the next couple of days, but I figure for my very first attempt ever…not too bad…right?! Ha. Anyway, here it is!

Lately via Instagram

Last week was busy! I felt like I was all over the place. Definitely a productive week, but it was followed by a very relaxing weekend so I can’t complain! I had jury duty, but thankfully they let us go home. They had no cases/trials. I cleaned out my closet, which definitely took some time. There were so many things that were just ready to go. I had some exciting work projects to work on for a couple of my freelance businesses. I also started preparing for a new job that I’ll be starting tomorrow! And lastly, I did makeup for a bride and her bridesmaids on Friday — they were such a great group of girls to work with! So fun! And finally I wrapped up the week by doing a little bit of shopping and a lot of relaxing this weekend. And now I’m blogging, watching a movie, hanging out with my puppy and relaxing on the couch…this is what I call a great day 🙂

Favorite Finds Under $100

Who doesn’t love a deal? I know I definitely do! While online shopping/browsing, I found so many great items under $100 so I thought I’d share them on my blog. I personally have the iPhone case, multicolor necklace, Nars blush and MAC lipstick and I love each one of these items — *definitely* recommend. The Nars lipstick is a really pretty pink color — perfect for the summer! And the iPhone case is a really snug fit on the iPhone (in a good way). Some cases tend to get a little too loose, but not this one. Love it! Lastly, Nars blushes are all amazing (my personal favorites), but Orgasm has got to be the prettiest color in my opinion. Not too bright or dark — the perfect shade of peachy pink. Happy shopping!

Pinterest Inspiration: Recent Pins

Plain and simple: I love Pinterest. Prior to Pinterest, I used to save hundreds (probably even thousands) of photos on my laptop of all sorts of things that inspired me, that I wanted to try, or wanted to buy. I saved everything from recipes, clothes I like, pretty makeup and gorgeous hair to inspirational messages, beautiful destinations, and anything that was physically appealing or pretty. Now, I get to save it all on Pinterest, and even better, I can easily click on my images to take me back to the main source of where it came from. That being said, here are some of my more recent pins that are inspiring me currently. Whether it be some outfits I like and want to try and imitate, or some makeup that I am just dying to try out on myself or my clients…they are all inspiring me in their own way.

I’m a big fan of Kendra Scott jewelry. I can always count on Kendra Scott to find some fun, colorful, statement pieces. As you have probably noticed from my blog, I’m big on jewelry — the bigger, the bolder, the more colorful the better. It can make an outfit. Arm Candy (part 2)

Yesterday I posted some of my current favorite watches. I mentioned that I loved wearing them with several bracelets. So, today I’m posting some of my favorite bracelets at the moment. You can wear some or all of these along with any of the watches from the previous post (or any watches you own — get creative!). And just kind of a quick side note — while these are some of the bracelets I’m really liking at the moment, these are just few. There are a lot more bracelets that I like. Arm Candy (part 1)

Prior to meeting my husband, I was not a fan of watches. I only saw them for their purpose — to tell time — and not as a fashionable accessory. Because I always checked my phone for the time, I never really cared for watches. My husband, however, LOVES watches. It is one of the few things (and probably the most important) he cares about when it comes to fashion. He has a deep appreciation for watches and when he shared that with me, I started realizing there were a lot that I liked. Thanks to designers like Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors, I am now a *big* fan of watches. One of my favorite ways to wear them is with a variety of bracelets (different colors, metals, types, etc). I wore a ton of bracelets at once when I was in high school and college. Some of my friends then would sarcastically ask if I was wearing enough bracelets and if I needed anymore. Now that wearing a lot of bracelets at once is in style, I don’t get asked that as much 🙂 Today, I’ll be posting some of my favorite watches. Tomorrow, I’ll be posting some of my favorite bracelets that you can pair with some of these watches.
